Filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office. Protects your mark nationwide, gives you the right to use the ® symbol, and lets you sue for damages in federal court. Costs $250–$350 per class in USPTO fees and can take months to a year or more.
Best if: you sell online, plan to expand beyond one state, or want the strongest possible protection.
